Salt dough - how to make

Here is the recipe for salt dough. Its "half half one" salt, water and plain flour
for example half a mug of salt, half a mug of water and a whole mug of flour.

When you have made your doughball and used it to make your shapes, you must dry them.
You can do this in one of three ways

1. Microwave for 3 to 4 minutes
OR
2. Put in a low oven for about an hour
OR
3 Air dry it on a radiator for a few days

Don't forget to punch a hole for hanging if you are making ornaments. You can paint your ornament when it is dry. When the paint is dry finish it off by painting with PVA glue (the gloopy white stuff). This acts like varnish and makes the shape stronger.
